Summer Snack Ideas

Kids love fun, yummy snacks. Sometimes even mom and dad can’t resist! We want to share some of our favorite, easy snack recipes that you and your little ones can enjoy all summer!

Watermelon Popsicles

Watermelon and popsicles are creative solutions to hydrate your kids. So why not put them together? All you need to do is blend some seedless watermelon in your blender with lime juice and pour the mix into popsicle molds. These delicious popsicles can be eaten for any occasion, from sitting by the pool on a hot day to movie nights. It’s also an easy recipe, so the little ones have a blast doing it.

Apple Nachos

Apple nachos are a perfect contrast between salty and sweet. A sour green apple with peanut butter and chocolate chips will do the trick. All you need is an apple of your choice cut up into thin slices, a drizzle of peanut butter, and a layer of chocolate chips.

Root Beer Floats

You can never go wrong with a classic root beer float. This is an easy and delicious drink for you and your little ones!  Scoop some ice cream into a cup, add root beer of your choice, and boom!

Veggie Cups

Getting kids to eat veggies can be challenging, but adding a flavor twist might seem more enticing to them. All you need for this is a small cup, a dressing of your choice, and veggies! This idea is excellent for a pool party or get-together because everyone can have their own portion.

Frozen Yogurt Bites

Yogurt is always a good choice for a snack, so why not turn it into frozen dollops? All you need for this tasty treat is yogurt and fruit! Put a spoonful amount of yogurt on a pan with wax paper, and add the fruit on top. Then, place the pan in the freezer for about 4 hours or until frozen. Frozen yogurt bites are an excellent alternative to sugary sweets.
