What are the active ingredients?
The active ingredient in our SPF 50 Mineral Stick is 22% Zinc Oxide. The active ingredient in our SPF 50 Mineral Powder is 24% Zinc Oxide and 24% Titanium Dioxide.
Are they water resistant?
The SPF 50 Mineral Stick is water resistant for 80-minutes. The SPF 50 Mineral Powder is not water resistant, so we recommend applying the SPF 50 Mineral Stick for activities and using the quick brush application of the SPF 50 Mineral Powder after activities.
How do I remove the clear plastic cap inside the SPF 50 Mineral Stick packaging?
Once you untwist the tan lid, you'll see a clear plastic disc sitting on top of the product. This keeps your stick fresh and protected until you're ready to use it.
For the cleanest removal to limit product sticking, gently twist the disc to the side instead of pulling it straight up. Twisting releases the seal, keeping the SPF intact and preventing it from breaking.
How do I get the SPF 50 Mineral brush ready to use the first time?
Start by removing the cap, then slide down the protective sleeve to reveal the brush. The sleeve is built into the packaging and can be slid back up after use. Next, remove the clear rubber band around the bristles. Once the band is off, gently rub the brush back and forth on the palm of your hand for 5 to 10 seconds. You should see a soft puff of powder when you run your finger through the bristles, letting you know it's ready to use.
If you do not see the rubber band, it may have slipped down between the bristles and the plastic packaging. You can gently remove it with tweezers.
How often do I need to reapply for best protection?
For best protection, reapply every two hours or as needed during prolonged sun exposure for continued effectiveness. For swimming or sweating, reapply after the activity. The SPF 50 Mineral Powder product works best on moist skin, so applying it immediately after towel drying is beneficial.
Do I have to use both at the same time, every time?
It is optional to use both sunscreens at the same time. Both help protect against harmful rays. However, there is no harm in using both as well. It may cover a spot that you didn’t notice you missed! It ensures that you or your little one are protected when using it as often as recommended.
If you are applying our SPF 50 Mineral Stick and the SPF 50 Mineral Powder together, apply the SPF 50 Mineral Stick and allow the skin to fully absorb. Once dry, apply the SPF 50 Mineral Powder over the desired area.
Who can use these products? Are they safe for newborns, kids, and adults?
The SPF 50 Duo, containing our SPF 50 Mineral Stick and SPF 50 Mineral Powder, are recommended for individuals 6 months and older. For newborns and children under 6 months, we advise consulting with a healthcare professional or licensed skincare specialist before introducing any new products into their skincare routine. Prioritizing your child's safety is crucial, and healthcare professionals can offer specific advice based on their unique needs. We also suggest conducting a small skin patch test and waiting 24 hours to ensure no adverse reactions occur. If the skin reacts positively, you can confidently use the products. While our formulations are designed with safety in mind for all ages, seeking professional guidance ensures the well-being of your little one.
